Sometimes our role as designers is to create simplicity and intuitive interfaces rather than bold visuals. In this modernization project for Office Depot's e-commerce platform, I persuaded the team to tackle a complex system overhaul: transforming the paper labels template section from a cumbersome list of hundreds of redundant SKUs with hyperlinked .doc downloads into an intuitive 5-page flow.
The redesign saved users time, reduced errors and made products effortless to locate. The old UX/UI is included below for a before-and-after; zoom in for the details.
